RIDE THE FUTURE

Welcome to the Wavepool Surf Tour
We would like to welcome you to the Wavepool Surf Tour's very first newsletter.
We are incredibly stoked to welcome all of you, our very first subscribed members of the Wavepool Surf Tour. And we have some exciting news.
It's On
We are proud to announce that the very first Wavepool Surf Tour event will take place at Alaïa Bay from 1 August to 31 October, with submissions closing 25 October. The judging, and then the results, will take place over the 26 - 31 October.. Check out all the details on our event page.
Three Months of Competition
Three months of competition. How does that work?
Simple. It's an online qualifying surfing event.
Over the weeks following our press conference, we'll explain exactly how it works across all of our social media platforms, so go ahead and like, join and follow us.

Register Free
If you want to surf the event, registration is already open.
You can also register now and create your athlete profile for free, even if you're not planning to compete straight away. That way, you'll be ready when an event comes to the wave pool nearest to you.
Why register now? Get in early. Even if you can't surf our first event at Alaïa Bay, there will be plenty of opportunities to compete in future events. More tour announcements are coming soon.
Once you're registered, you're ready to go.

How It Works

One Global Tour
The Wavepool Surf Tour is a revolutionary new concept for competitive surfing.
Global online qualifying events will see event winners and regional ratings leaders qualify for the live World Championship Finals, to be held at a venue that will be announced in the third quarter of 2027.
Inclusive by Design
The Wavepool Surf Tour features multiple divisions and is built around a simple philosophy: Inclusive. Family. Fun.
We envision entire families, from children to grandparents, competing together and enjoying the experience.
Our divisions include both male and female categories:
- Groms – Under 14 (under 14 on 1 January 2026)
- Juniors – Under 18 (under 18 on 1 January 2026)
- Open – All ages
- Masters – Over 40 (40 years or older on 1 January 2026)
- Legends – Over 50 (50 years or older on 1 January 2026)
- Adaptive Surfing – All adaptive divisions

- Bodyboard – All bodyboarders
We'll also feature specialty awards, including Best Barrel, Best Turn, Best Air and Best Wipeout.
We have so much more to share with you, but for now this should keep you busy.
